Cork gasket material is a popular choice for gaskets and cork seals thanks to its excellent compression and flexibility. This is further improved when using a composite rubber cork gasket material, such as cork and nitrile which provides a variety of resistances to liquids, chemicals, fuels and environmental factors. We hold a large stock of cork and rubber cork gasket sheet materials and can source, supply and convert sheets to suit the application.
This composite material is suited to critical sealing against oils and chemicals, particularly where high temperatures may be present.
The cork and neoprene composite material provides excellent sealing and durability against heat and moisture in external conditions.
Natural cork has excellent compression, resilience and recovery properties and is a lightweight material that resists water and some oils.
Anti-vibration gasket material, such as Tico, is most commonly used to reduce machinery noise in many industrial processes.
Natural cork and cork composite gaskets are precision cut in-house using CNC, waterjet and punch press machinery. Whether producing small or large batches, we apply the same attention to accuracy and consistency to each run. We stock a wide range of natural cork and composite materials.
Our full turnkey service offers help with materials specification, along with CAD design, bespoke manufacture and worldwide distribution services. Equally, we can produce single or multiple gaskets from designs and templates. All gaskets are supplied to recognised national and international standards.
Natural cork material is sourced from the bark of cork-oak trees. Cork composite sheet materials use a 70/30 cork rubber mix comprising polymers such as viton, nitrile and neoprene for use in different applications.
The different polymers produce characteristics in the cork composite under sealing, pressure and temperature, which are suited to different operating environments, such as those involving chemicals, fuels and extreme weather.

Our highly experienced technicians can advise you on the best sheet materials and manufacturing processes for a wide range of gasket applications.
Cork is still widely used as a gasket material due to its availability and cost effectiveness. Most commonly found in automotive, engine and machinery manufacturing, it is used in sumps, valves, transformers, switchgear and for anti-vibration in large machinery.
We supply both natural cork and composites in standard and non-standard sizes and thicknesses. Please get in touch if we can help with specifying the right sheet for your application.
We supply a vast range of gasket materials, available to buy directly or order from us. For more information visit the Gasket Sheet Materials page
