Installing the water cutter has increased our production capability in terms of the speed we can mass manufacture and the depths of materials we are able to cut. Our water jet will comfortably cut hard materials up to 200mm depth and also cuts down on waste materials, saving manufacturing and material costs for our clients.
How it worksWe can convert most materials to a wide range depths and sizes accurately and efficiently using out water jet cutter. In the past we have produced signage, component parts and one-off items for clients outside our normal business sectors. If you have a project that would benefit from our material conversion expertise, please talk to a member of our technical team.
Water is filtered and pressurised in a high-pressure pump, then delivered via high-pressure tubes to the water jet cutting head. For harder material, abrasive fine sand is added to the stream before delivery to the small diameter head which concentrates the water beam to produce jetting pressure up to 60,000 psi. If you consider the standard psi for a domestic pressure washer is around 1800 psi, it’s easier to understand the power of the machine.
