As part of our manufacturing processes we use a massive mount of rubber sheeting to cut gaskets from which there is a large amount of waste material. In an effort to recycle the waste efficiently we invested in a rubber crumb machine, which we now use to recycle 100% or our waste rubber material.
Unlike that produced from vehicle tyres, we can offer 100% pure rubber crumb that has no risk of contamination from the steel and fibre used in the production of tyres. Equally, all our rubber sheeting waste is produced from new so there is also no risk of inert contaminants such as dust, glass or rock.
Rubber crumb has several benefits when used in play areas or gardens, such as good drainage, weed suppression and heat retention. For play areas rubber crumb is ideal for shock absorption which helps reduce injuries to children.
Rubber crumb provides dust-free footing, reducing the strain on both the riders and their horses. Crumb sizes are approximately 20 mm which is a standard size for most crumb supplied commercially.
